FAQs

At Celeste Genevieve Counseling, taking the first step towards counseling is simple and straightforward. To begin, simply reach out to us here to schedule your free phone call, and complete the form that will be sent to you via email. At your scheduled time, you will receive a phone call from our compassionate client care coordinator, Shannon. You’ll chat with her about what prompted your call and find the best therapist who matches your needs. Shannon will get you scheduled with your therapist and send you paperwork that will need to be completed prior to your session.

When you meet with your therapist for the initial session, either in-person or via Google Meets, you will have the opportunity to share with them, where they will take the time to get to know you and understand your concerns. Together, you’ll collaboratively develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and circumstances. Throughout the counseling process, you can expect a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly. Our therapists are here to guide and support you every step of the way towards achieving greater emotional well-being and personal growth.

In psychotherapy, sessions typically occur on a weekly basis, lasting around 45 to 60 minutes per session. Most clients will engage in hourly individual sessions, which are allocated to the time of 53 minutes per session. Ultimately, the frequency and duration can vary based on individual needs and treatment plans.

The length of therapy varies widely depending on factors such as the nature of the issues being addressed, the client’s goals, and their progress in therapy. While some clients may find relief in a few sessions, others may benefit from longer-term therapy lasting several months or years. The duration of therapy is a collaborative decision between the client and therapist, with the aim of achieving the desired outcomes and promoting overall well-being.

At Celeste Genevieve Counseling, we strive to make your healthcare experience as hassle-free as possible. We accept a wide range of insurance plans, including BCBS PPO, Blue Choice, Blue Options, and BCBS HMO through the Network Endeavor Health. This network includes reputable providers such as Illinois Health Partners, Edward, Elmhurst, NorthShore, and Swedish.

For clients with insurance plans that we are not in-network with, we are more than happy to assist you by providing a superbill. This document can be submitted to your insurance company for out-of-network benefits reimbursement. However, please keep in mind that it is your responsibility to verify your insurance coverage and benefits with your insurance provider.

We understand that navigating insurance can be complex, and we want to ensure transparency in our billing process. Any services not covered by insurance will be the responsibility of the client. To streamline payments, we require all clients to keep a credit card on file. This card will be used to handle copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and any self-pay responsibility charges.

Our goal is to provide you with exceptional care while minimizing any financial burdens. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team if you have any questions or concerns regarding your insurance coverage or billing procedures.

Celeste Genevieve Counseling offers both in-person and Telehealth therapy options to best meet our clients’ needs. We utilize Google Meets for our Telehealth platform, ensuring a secure and reliable connection for virtual sessions. While Telehealth expands our reach, allowing us to see clients located in Illinois, Florida, Colorado, and South Carolina, our in-person sessions are available by appointment at any of our four Illinois office locations in Aurora, Inverness, Lombard, and Oswego. Additionally, our offices are easily accessible and cater to clients in surrounding areas, such as Montgomery, Plano, Yorkville, Naperville, Palatine, Downers Grove, Villa Park, Elmhurst, Schaumburg, Barrington, and North Aurora. We strive to provide personalized and effective therapy regardless of the chosen modality.

At Celeste Genevieve Counseling, we believe in transparency and ensuring our clients have a clear understanding of their financial responsibilities. The No Surprises Act-Good Faith Estimate is an important tool that we use to provide an estimate of costs for our services.

The No Surprises Act is a United States federal law aimed at protecting consumers from unexpected medical bills, particularly those resulting from out-of-network healthcare services. Enacted in December 2020 as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021, it prohibits surprise billing in certain situations, such as from out-of-network providers. The law establishes a process for resolving billing disputes between insurers and providers, often through arbitration, and requires healthcare providers to furnish patients with clear and transparent cost estimates. Overall, the No Surprises Act seeks to shield patients from financial surprises and ensure fair billing practices within the healthcare system.

For clients at Celeste Genevieve Counseling without insurance and/or clients who have insurance, but are out of network, the Good Faith Estimate will be provided to you upfront. It provides you with an upfront understanding of the expected costs associated with your care for an entire year of treatment. This allows you to make informed decisions and plan for payment options that suit your financial situation.
